Rev.
Sandra Turnbull
The daughter of Assembly of God missionaries, Sandra Turnbull grew up on
the front row pew and can’t remember a time when she was not involved in
ministry. Born in the Dominican Republic, Sandra lived most of her young
life in Central and South America with her parents and siblings
After receiving the call to ministry, Sandra attended Bible School and
seminary. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Evangel
College in Springfield, Missouri and a Masters Degree in Religious Studies
from the School of Theology in Claremont, California. It was while serving
with Youth With A Mission in Amsterdam, Holland, that Sandra fell in love
with her life partner of 20 years, Janet Robertson. This precipitated a
new life direction. Together they affiliated with the Metropolitan
Community Churches and in 1986 founded
Encounter Missions
International, a missions training and sending ministry. In 1996
Sandra was ordained into full time ministry and felt the call of God to
pastor.
As the pastor of Glory Tabernacle Christian Center, Rev. Sandra Turnbull
has established a bridge building ministry to other pastors, leaders,
ministries and organizations.
Her passion is:
"to be on the
forefront of the outpouring of God’s glory in this generation and to see
the Church rise up to become the inclusive Church it is called to be"
Rev. Sandra travels throughout the United States and in
various nations preaching and teaching. She also offers the annual
Harvest Glory Conferences,
Ministry Training Schools and
ACTS Institute in
Long Beach, California. Both Rev. Sandra and her partner, Janet
enjoy living in Long Beach, California and traveling to Asia and
throughout the nations.
